    Well it depends on our current compay policy for short rate cancelation. if you just bought your policy less that 6 month they may charge a fee for cancelation. You must check with your current compay for the rules on cancelation and see if they charge a fee or not.

    Based on my experience within the industry so far. I am not aware of an auto insurance carrier that charges a cancellation fee for cancelling your coverage with them. What you might encounter though is a contractual requirement when signing as a new client of a carrier to remain with that carrier for a minimum of six months to one year. Remember every policy is different. Please read your policy completely to understand the coverage provided and any exclusions that there may be or contact your local agent to have them go over the policy with you.
