Depending on your insurance carrier the process could be fairly seemless. If the carrier that you currently operates in both states that you are dealing with then they would more than likely be able to assists you in getting coverage in the new state with out too much trouble. In either case what will happen is your current policy will be cancelled and a new policy written in the new state. If your carrier does not operate in the state that you are moving to then you will have to find yourself another agent/carrier that you are comfortable working with.
