    “Really cheap” auto insurance pays a claim completely. Anything else is “really expensive” auto insurance. For example if someone is injured in an accident for which you are at fault, the expense of care and treatment could be above the legal insurance limits in your state. That amount that exceeds your insurance coverage is your expense.
