Cheap car insurance for 18 year-olds may be available through selected carriers. Finding the lowest rate is best accomplished when you work with an experienced broker. There is no cost or obligation, and the potential savings can be substantial.

Although the least expensive rate is not always the best option, the combination of low rates and great coverage is what brokers (experienced ones) find the best. If your policy will be taken out by an adult, they should be consulted.

As you get older, your cost will reduce, and save you quite a bit of money. But most importantly, having the most appropriate deductibles and liability limits may save you much more!

Cheap insurance isn’t the policy with the lowest premium.  It is the policy that pays the most when you have a claim.  If your policy doesn’t cover the cost of a collision, the balance must be met by you.  If you need to pay out of pocket expenses because of a collision, the taste of low premiums might not be so sweet.  I suggest you discuss your situation with a trusted agent and carefully evaluate the agent’s advice.

I would suggest first talking to your parent's Insurance Professional, especially if you are still living at home.  There may be premium advantages available to you if you insure your car with the same company.  That company may extend multi policy and multi car discounts over to you which may substantially reduce the amount of your own car insurance premium.
