Auto liability insurance is required in every state and NH is no exception. Also, keep in mind that minimum state limits while they will result in the cheapest premium might not be enough protection. An accident that causes an injury can very easily reach into the $200,000+ range and if you only have $100,000 of coverage you would be liable for the rest of the damages. Especially if you are homeowner or have any other assets of value you should really consider $250,000/$500,000 limits on your auto with a $1 million umbrella.
