    does disability insurance cover cancer?    Yes or No are the possible answers to this question.  A disability contract pays based on the policyholder meeting the definition of disability as stated in the contract. The definition usually reads as "being unable to the material and substantial duties of their own occupation." If cancer means you can't work, you're covered. If you can continue to work, you're not, unless you can only work a reduced schedule.
