   You have to have earned income to qualify for disability insurance as well as good health history and current medical condition. Disability insurance is an important employee benefit for key executives in any organization. Bottom line, disability insurance is paycheck insurance. Protecting your income, either with with tax free or taxable benefits is a great retention and recruiting tool for a business.
