    The states that provide for temporary Disability Insurance are Rhode Island, California, New Jersey, New York, and Hawaii, as well as Puerto Rico. In all these states, the amount paid is 60% of wages and the reason for the disability must be non-work related. Benefits are paid up to 30 weeks in all states except California, where they can be received up to 52 weeks.
