    The timing of this question is very interesting.

    The open enrollment period for policies covered under the Affordable Care Act closes today - March 31, 2014. Beginning tomorrow, April 1 of 2014, anyone with a preexisting health condition must wait until the next open enrollment period to enroll in a plan. Coverage would begin on January 1, 2015.
