    No. Health insurance companies do no conduct any physical/medical exams in order to obtain health insurance. The health care reform law (ObamaCare) now requires that health insurance plans be guaranteed to be issued and that they can't have pre-existing condition exclusions, waiting periods or limitations. In the individual health insurance market and in some group insurance situations you may be asked about tobacco consumption as this is the one vice that ObamaCare allows a rate risk adjustment for.

    In the employment environment, drug testing may be a condition of pre-employment screening and/or employment but it is not a health insurance coverage requirement.
