    Banking cord blood is a relatively new procedure. If treatment for the baby is imminent and planned, it is entirely possible your health insurance plan will cover the cost of banking the cord blood.
     
    But if there is nothing planned, I don't expect your health insurance plan will cover that procedure. Ask your agent or carrier for advice.
