   Great question. The employer will dictate who qualifies for health coverage, normally it depends on work status such as part or full time, number of hours worked, etc. etc. sometimes there are wait limits. Keep in mind, you can apply for your own individual health plan and in the event that you change jobs, you won't have to worry about your health plan terminating.
