Owner, Orange County Health & Life Insurance,
Pre-Existing Conditions are no longer an issue. The issue is now Open Enrollment. Let me explain. The Affordable Care Act made pre-existing conditions obsolete; you can get health insurance no matter what condition you may have. However, you must buy health insurance during open enrollment, which ended April 15th. Now you can't get individual health insurance until January 1, 2015 (open enrollment starts again November 15th). There are certain exceptions that will allow you to get health insurance outside open enrollment such as the loss of employer coverage, marriage, divorce, etc.
