Because of recent law changes by President Obama, children may stay on their parent's health insurance policy up to age 26.  This is true throughout all 50 states.  Children dependents, up to age 26, may stay on their parent's policy even if they are married, attending school, not financially dependent upon their parents, not living with their parents or even if they are offered their own insurance through employment.

Special needs children can be covered under their parent's plan past age 26.
