Believe it or not, there are no specific definitions of creditable coverage when it comes to health insurance. If you are moving from one health insurance plan to another a critical question is, "Have you had a break in creditable coverage exceeding 63 days?".

Generally, creditable coverage refers to a major medical plan but your new carrier can decide what is, and what isn't creditable coverage.
