    Health insurance policies cover medical procedures. This includes diagnostic testing, doctor visits, hospital inpatient, emergency room, X-ray, CT, PET, MRI, surgery in or out of the hospital.
    Only those that are considered medically necessary are covered.
    Preventive care as mandated by law are also covered procedures.
    Routine vision and dental exams are not covered items.
