    CDHP stands for a Consumer Driven Health Plan, a type of health insurance policy that is intended to promote, and reward, greater personal responsibility among policy holders. The prevailing theory when it comes to CDHPs (such as an HSA-qualified health policy) is by giving consumers incentive (lower premiums) to take better care of themselves, the cost of coverage can remain lower than it would be with most typical health policies.
