The best place to buy health insurance with pre-existing conditions is through a broker and your state Marketplace Exchange. An experienced broker can do the shopping, comparing and enrollment for you at no cost. You may also qualify for a federal subsidy that can dramatically reduce your premium, or possibly eliminate the entire cost.

A broker and or their website is a BETTER resource than the .gov website. Subsidies can be calculated and a specific plan can be recommended. The glitches, delays and security issues of the government website are still a concern. As I write this answer live, the .gov website is not performing and is being repaired.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) allows you to purchase subsidized coverage with no exclusion for pre-existing conditions during Open Enrollment. If you miss Open Enrollment, there are still various low-cost options available.

That is an excellent question! One of the best things about the Affordable Care Act ( Obamacare) is that for the first time, your pre-existing condition can no longer prevent you from receiving insurance coverage. There are also no longer lifetime caps on your treatments. The best place to get your coverage is at the ACA website, www.healthcare.gov where you can shop for coverage, and possibly qualify for a subsidy that will help pay for that coverage. Good luck, and thanks for asking!
