Why Are Health Insurance Rates Increasing?

    The causes of rising health insurance premiums are probably too complex for a short answer.  However, the Affordable Care Act mandates coverages that are to be included in the plan, and who can be included in the plan.  These additional coverages affect the rate charged.  Medical expenses, in general, are rising more quickly than other sectors.  These two factors have a profound impact on the rates being charged.
