    Normally, No.  A homeowner’s policy normally excludes coverage for normal wear and tear.  A policyholder might be able to argue that the sewer line was damaged by one of the covered perils but it is very difficult to imagine that.

    Usually no.. however some insurance companies will allow you to add a "service line" endorsement that could provide coverage for a sewer line. Typically it will only cover the portion that runs through your property.
