   Bicycles are personal property.  As such they are covered under your homeowner’s policy.  Your homeowner’s policy has a deductible.  That deductible might exceed the value of the bicycle.  Often homeowner’s policies have earned a discount for being “claims free.”  Sometimes losing that discount is a major issue. Contact your agent prior to submitting a claim.
