    Fire coverage is a part of the most basic form of homeowner’s policy.  In all likelihood, your policy will cover wild fire.  Companies routinely stop issuing policies and don’t allow changes when property is near a wild fire.  In California several major insurers are now reluctant to insure property in the mountains.
