    The first step would be to recalculate the value of the residence as this is the basis for the premium.  Many homes have more insurance than necessary.  The second step would be to increase the deductible.  Home owner’s claims are rare; consider the impact of an increased deductible.  I do not recommend reducing any limits, particularly liability limits unless your recalculation shows that the home can be rebuilt for less.
