Home insurance coverage should be consistent with other coverage you purchase, like auto insurance.

Similar amounts of insurance, enough to cover the cost to repair or replace your home and other property.

Similar liability limits, in case your negligence injures someone.

Similar perils, if your car is covered for "any" damage, your home and property should be as well.

Similar deductibles, I suggest deductibles not less than $1000.

And it is not a bad idea to combine coverage with the same insurer whenever possible. It’s better to deal with someone you already know and trust. If you don't, it may be a good time to find new auto insurance as well.
