A homeowner’s policy will cover damages caused by fire to the building, and the contents.  It will also pay for debris removal.  There will be coverage for additional living costs while the structure is being repaired.  Other coverages might come into play such as building ordinance coverage, and fire department fee coverage.  Recovery will be based on the form that was used for the homeowner’s policy.  It will either be based on replacement cost or the actual cash value of what was damaged.  The recovery will also be reduced by the deductible.
