A homeowner’s policy covers damage caused by named perils.  The septic system could theoretically be damaged by a named peril but it is not very likely since it is underground.  It is more likely that damage to the system would be the result of “fair wear and tear” or “earth movement.”  These particular risks are excluded in most homeowner’s policies.  Refer to your policy for specific information.
