Life Insurance is based on a number of factors ie. your age, if you smoke or not, what is your health like?, do you take any medications and why, how much coverage are you looking for.  The Life Insurance companies look at your mortality, in other words, how long do they expect you to live.  If you are young, healthy, your cost of insurance will be low.  If you have a medical condition, your rates will start going up.  The best way to find out the cost is to get quotes.  Not from just one company, but from several as they all have different rates.

The cost of life insurance varies widely, so much so that there is no way of giving an estimate of price. It can range from $20 per month, to over a million dollars per month. The price depends on age of the insured person (the younger you are, the lower the price usually is), the length of time that the premium is guaranteed to stay level (e.g. 10 year usually costs less than 30 year term), health of the insured person, tobacco use, and other factors.

To get an estimate of what life insurance might cost for you, you can visit a website that offers free online quotes. Contact the website directly to visit with an agent who will ask specific questions to make your quote more accurate.
