    No, a will does not override life insurance beneficiaries. You can go to court to try to prove that the person who owned the life insurance policy was mentally incompetent at the time that they chose their life insurance beneficiaries. Otherwise, life insurance beneficiaries are designated outside the will, and they stand on their own.
