    Unfortunately, ADHD does affect life insurance rates, but the impact is lessened if one's attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is well controlled and stable for at least a year. As a child, ADHD might cause the child to be postponed from getting life insurance until an adult. As an adult, showing stability in one's work history and consistency in treatment can help obtain a Standard or better rating.
