The cost of a $250,000 twenty year term policy for a very healthy 45 year old male who does not use tobacco can run as low as $30/mo. That same man could get a permanent policy of $250,000 for about double that amount. A woman age 45 and in perfect health will have lower premiums than these.

If there is even one small health problem, a family history of heart disease or cancer, any tobacco use, being overweight, or many other reasons, this rate will be higher.
