If purchasing a Whole Life policy of $10,000 that does not require an exam, an 80 year old with controlled health can pay about $150/month. If there are some health conditions that will cause the policy to be graded, the price will be higher.

If purchasing a larger permanent policy that requires an exam, the minimum price for $100,000 would be about $400/month and go up from there.
