    To apply for Veterans Life Insurance, you can go to the benefits.va.gov website. However, keep in mind that you must apply for VGLI (Veterans Group Life Insurance) shortly after departing from the service. You are only qualified for VGLI by converting SGLI (Servicemembers Group Life Insurance) to it within a certain time frame.
