There are ten community property states in the U.S., however, Hawaii is not one of them.

A life insurance policy acquired while residing in a community property state may or may not be considered community property depending on the specific circumstances of when the policy was first acquired, how the owner and beneficiary(ies) have been designated, how premiums have been funded, etc.
