   Most of the U.S.

   There is life insurance for veterans provided by the VA called VGLI (Veterans Group Life Insurance). However, it must be purchased shortly after separation from the service. If getting a private policy, a veteran can get any life insurance policy that anyone else can get, as long and age and health guidelines are met.
