    The tests that are run for most medically underwritten life insurance policies are urinalysis and CBC (complete blood count). These tests look for abnormalities that may indicate heart disease. blood diseases, kidney disease, liver disease, or diabetes. They also test for HIV and the presence of cotinine (a byproduct of nicotine).
