The lowest cost life insurance is really a misnomer, as there is no specific company that is lowest for any one demographic or policy type. There might be fifty different life insurance companies that have the "best" price, depending on the age, gender, health status, height/weight ratio and a myriad of other factors.

Usually, the best bet will be to seek out an independent life insurance agent, because they will be contracted with most companies out there. They can then direct you to the "cheapest", if that's the most important metric for you, based on the particulars of your specific situation.

Life Insurance rates are very fluid right now. A plan I may have quoted January 1st as the lowest permanent policy for a client may not even exist today.

As Sam said, have an independent agent quote your specific need. They will normally know which companies are the most competitive for a given set of factors. Your age and health, how much and for how long.

Remember that "cheapest" is relative. Do you want the cheapest for one year, 20 years or till you die? Do you want the rate guaranteed? For how long? Sounds much more complicated than it is. An experienced agent can walk you through it easily.

There are two ways of looking at cost, “What is the least cost today?”  Or “what is the least cost on the day that I die?”  The cheapest life insurance policy is the one that is in force on the day that you die.  Many life insurance policies expire or are cancelled before the insured dies.  Those policies are pure cost without any financial benefit.

That is a great question! The answer is kind of difficult to give you though - life insurance is like a tailored suit, what fits you best, may not fit me at all. As such, what the cheapest price you would pay for your suit may not be the cheapest that I'd pay.  Many different things go into determining what you would pay, the simplest being your age, gender and smoking preference. Add to that your health, your prescription history, and your occupation. Then toss in the amount of coverage that you want, and the time frame that you want it for. You can see it gets a little complicated. The best thing to do is to find a local independent agent ( one not tied to a single brand name) who can give you several options to choose from. I hope that helps, and if you live in the Houston area, drop me a line, I'd be happy to help. Thanks for asking!
