Pricing long term care can be easy with such a limited playing field of insurance companies I the long term care market. What isn’t easy, but rather daunting is the services definitions and varying costs for services covered. Most cover adult day care, assisted living and nursing home confinement.

Depending on your policy, a good Long Term Care policy will cover Home Health Care and Nursing Home and Assisted Living provided at least three Activities of Daily Living are impaired. These would include such things as inability to toilet, the need to have help feeding yourself, assistance walking or getting out of bed or chairs etc. Your policy will outline these ADL's. The policy will cover up to the limits set in the policy. Some pay a set daily rate for a definite period of time. Others pay up to a certain amount until those funds run out.
