   Most of the U.S.

   Breast implants are not covered by Medicare if done for cosmetic purposes. However, Medicare will cover breast prostheses following a mastectomy under Medicare Part A (if done on an inpatient basis) or Medicare Part B (if done on an outpatient basis). The post-surgery brassiere is also covered by Medicare.
