    You can claim blood tests if the tests were medically necessary to diagnose or monitor a health condition, and if the testing was done by someone is enrolled in Medicare. If done on an inpatient basis, it is covered by Part A. If done on an outpatient basis, it is covered by Part B.

    If the test was done for preventative purposes, it will not be covered by Medicare. If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, it may cover blood tests not covered by Part A or B.
