Basic Medicare, that is Medicare part a, does not cover any prescriptions outside of what's administered during a hospital stay. If you have Medicare part D or Medicare Advantage prescription drugs are covered as part of your plan. Of course you have your co-pay share to cover so nothing is completely covered. But as long as a medication is prescribed and you have Medicare part D or Advantage it's covered.
