   Medicare Part B covers 80% of diagnostic X-ray and labs that are ordered by a physician as part of an outpatient setting.  If you are an inpatient, these are covered under your Medicare Part A hospitalization bill.  There are ways to reduce the 20% you would owe under Part B.  Speak to your local agent to determine whether a Medicare Advantage plan or a Medicare Supplement makes the most sense for your situation.
