    The VA (Veterans Administration) requires that you receive care at their facilities and with their providers in order to receive VA benefits. Thus, the VA does not accept Medicare, as Medicare only works with Medicare approved facilities and providers. Many veterans use Medicare for their major medical expenses but use VA benefits to fill in the gaps. However, the VA drug plan covers more than Medicare Part D covers.
