    Glucose meters (blood sugar monitors) are covered by Medicare Part B as a type of durable medical equipment (DME) when your doctor prescribes for use in the home. The company that makes the device is not going to change whether or not it's covered under Part B. 

    Medicare Part B covers approximately 80% of the cost and you're responsible for the other 20%.
