Medigap plans are standardized and assigned a letter A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M and N. All plans with the same letter are identical in every way except price. When you pay more you don't get more you simply paid too much.

    Medigap plans are supplemental insurance to Medicare that covers the 20% not covered by the medicare policy. Although plans are the same among companies the premiums wildly vary. You can begin shopping for a policy during open enrollment which is 3 months before your 65th birthday and 3 months after.
