I believe what you're asking is, while you have group or an individual health plan now, when are you eligible to go on Medicare. People are eligible for premium-free Medicare Part A when they turn 65 and have met the 40 quarters (10 years) of working life/paying FICA taxes. Anyone who is eligible for premium-free Part A, can qualify for Part B - Part B requires premiums.
Younger individuals with certain disabilities who have been entitled to social security disability benefits and those with end-stage renal disease, may also be eligible to receive Medicare benefits.
