All these conditions must be met for Medicare to cover the cost of oxygen and supplies needed for delivery of oxygen:
You are diagnosed with a severe lung disease or have been told by your doctor that you are not getting enough oxygen;
Your health might not improve without oxygen therapy;
Your arterial blood gas level falls within a certain range; and
Alternative methods of treating you have not worked.
