    There are specific situations where Medicare is secondary to a primary coverage plan. The most common one is when you, or your spouse, are covered under an employer group health insurance plan and that employer has 20 or more full time employees.

    The group plan is primary, Medicare secondary. The two plans coordinate. In most cases Medicare will pay little or nothing.
