   You can verify Medicare eligibility at http://www.medicare.gov/MedicareEligibility/. There are also a number of websites created for that purpose, such as www.checkmedicare.com. If you would rather call than use a website, you can call the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).
