    Medicare A covers persons who are in need of hospitalization, skilled nursing care up to a certain number of days, hospice care, or home health care. The person must be at least 65 years old and have paid Social Security taxes for at least 10 years to get Medicare Part A. There are also several other way people can get Medicare.
