Unless you are one of the fortunate few that has enough money to pay all the medical bills you may ever incur, or you are someone that refuses to use traditional medicine under any circumstance, it is highly recommended that everyone on Medicare purchase a Medigap plan. If you do not have the money within your budget to do so, then I suggest looking at a Medicare Advantage plan, Advantage plans can often be found at no cost. The must provide at least as much coverage as Original Medicare, and most all Advantage plans offer additional coverage not offered by Medicare. It's not the same level of coverage as Medigap provides, but for those that can not afford Medigap, an Advantage plan can be a great alternative.
